Our goal is that Nestlé products will not only be tastier and healthier but also better for the environment. In Oceania, we continually aim to reduce our water and energy use as part of lessening the impact of our operations.
Over the last five years Nestlé Oceania has made significant progress in achieving environmental targets, reducing energy usage by 10 per cent. Our focus is also identifying and increasing renewable energy sources to run our operations. Nearly 30 per cent of the energy used in our factories in 2014 was renewable, with most of it coming from saw dust and spent coffee grounds.
